2008 Ryder Cup

There is a Ryder Cup event going on at Valhalla Golf Club in Louisville, KY.  The first event starts on Friday, September 19 at 8:05 AM.  They start off with foursomes play in the morning and fourball play in the afternoon. On Saturday, they will play the same format from Friday on both times.  Then the last day of the Ryder Cup, all 12 golfers on both sides will play against each other to win the Cup.  We all need to watch Ryder Cup on TV and learn their formats. Maybe we can use this format for our own tournaments.  Why not?  Go USA!

Kentucky Deaf Festival 2008

Kentucky Commission on the Deaf and Hard of Hearing is proudly present their 8th Deaf Festival to be held on August 30, 2008 in Louisville, KY.  The events will be hosting at the Kentucky Center (Belvedere).

This is a one-day FREE event for ALL!  They have four main attractions to display.  We do not want to miss out this event this year because they only provide this event every 2 years.  Please pass the word to anyone you know and invite them to come.  You may come in to watch the attractions, talking to your old buddies, or looking the products most vendors sell.  See you all there.

UofL Cards upsets Hoyas

It's great to see UofL Cards beat number 6 in the nation Georgetown with their good defense.  Rick Pitino, UofL head coach, said if they play this kind of defense. They will win many games and possibly Final Four contender.  I agreed with him.  After I watched UofL games, they only improved when the defense are solid and cause turnovers.

UL vs. UK Football game

UL and UK played their hearts out in Lexington, KY.  UK won their first victory over a top-10 team in 3 decades.  I personally think that UL should win that game if UL have a good defensive players. Obviously, UL do not have any problems with offensive team.  Some games we win, some we lose.  Overall, I think UK has a chance to move to a better bowl than last year. If UL improves the defense, they may have a chance to earn bowl no better than Orange.

Cards played good defense after loss to Syracuse

Did you notice UofL play good defense after a loss to Syracuse?  They forced 5 turnovers and once more Harry Douglas did not play since he injured the last game.  Brian Brohm found some players to help the team win the game.  The only problem is that many people assumed UofL not winning most games.  They are accustomed to new coach and philosphy.  It takes time to get used to.
