Section 1: Candidates for any office must be present to be nominated.
Section 2: Any member who has played three tournaments during the year shall be eligible to run for office.
Section 3: The Executive Committee must approve the withdrawal of any funds for any purposes.
No officers of this association shall have to authority to draw more than $100.00 in advance to
defray expense without the approval of the membership.
Section 1: There shall be at least one regular association golf tournament each year.
Section 2: All association tournaments shall be held in the state of Kentucky.
Section 3: Hearing golfers are welcome to participate, but will not be eligible for the prizes. They
will not be required to pay a prize fee.
Section 4: The prize and jackpot fees would be $ 5.00 and $ 3.00.
Section 1: To follow the USGA handicap system.
1. Each swing counts as one stroke whether you hit the ball or miss (whiff).
2. Winter rules are in effect - you are allowed to improve the lie within 12 inches radius not nearer to
the hole on anywhere except on green. YOU MAY NOT TOUCH OR IMPROVE THE BALL ON
FRINGE OR APRON OF THE GREEN - PENALTY FOR MOVING BALL: 1 STROKE
3. If your ball is at the place making it difficult to swing, you may elect to move one club length
behind the spot under a penalty of I stroke or play it as it lies.
4. Only one ball shall be played from tee to green and golfer shall not have extra ball in pocket.
Penalty - I stroke each hole. Ball can be changed only at tee or on green. If ball is cut or unfit for
play, consult other golfers first before changing balls. Failure to do so: I stroke penalty. Hitting
wrong ball results in 2 stroke penalty.
5. All golfers will putt out. NO "GIMMES"!
6. If you hit your tee shot into water inside the 50-yard marker, you may try a second tee shot. If your
tee shot goes into the water outside the 50-yard marker, mark your ball laterally where it entered the
water and play it from there. Penalty: I stroke. If ball is in casual water or unnatural hazards
(flooded areas, fallen trees, ground repairs, etc) drop ball at side or back of affected area no nearer to
the hole - No penalty.
7. Do not touch ball or sand if ball is in sand trap until you swing. Penalty: 1 stroke. If ball is in
water in the sand trap, move ball to dry area in sand trap no nearer to the hole without penalty.
8. To speed up play, if a ball is lost, search is limited to 3 minutes. If lost, play next shot from area
where ball is lost. Penalty for lost ball: I stroke. The rule #8 is same for Out of Bounds (OB) - two
clubs lengths from point of exit.
9. If ball lands on a dirt or paved path, manmade structures such as garden hose, sprinkleheads, and
others (consult other golfers first), move ball one club length no nearer to hole without penalty.
10. Each golfer shall keep score for another golfer as well as his own.
11. In the best interest of all golfers, please speed up play without delay! Do not hold up play. Be as
fast as you can when it is your turn to play.
12. Officers decisions on all disputes are final.
13. Threesomes or Foursomes are determined by drawings.
14. Golfers must wear spikes or turf shoes or tennis shoes and wear collar shirt all times.
